This strain was shown to produce both a novel lantibiotic (paenicidin B) and the non-ribosomal tridecaptin A. Within the genome, the biosynthetic machinery responsible for the production of these antimicrobial peptides was identified, in addition to several other non-ribosomal peptide syntheses. This strain may show promise for limiting the presence of C. jejune in poultry food products.ENAstrain, cultivar, ecotype, Genomes.strain, cultivar, ecotype.0.00.00.00.00.00falsePaenibacillus terrae strain:NRRL B-30644Paenibacillus terrae strain:NRRL B-30644 Genome sequencing and assembly2022-05-122015-03-07PRJNA267726159743
