Infection of cells with a BTV mutant lacking NS4 results in increased synthesis of IFN-β and upregulation of interferon stimulated genes. In addition, we show that NS4 is a virulence factor for BTV by favouring viral replication in sheep, the animal species most susceptible to bluetongue.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name></name><description>Bluetongue virus NS4 protein is an interferon antagonist and a determinant of virus virulence</description><dates><last_updated>2016-05-20</last_updated><first_public>2016-04-11</first_public></dates><accession>PRJEB13366</accession><cross_references><PubMed>27009961</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
