Samples were collected from the hand and surfaces in office (n = 22) and home environments (n = 11) once a week for three consecutive weeks. This study aimed to: 1) determine the longitudinal stability of the skin and surface microbiomes over the three-week sampling periods 2) determine if random forest models were accurate in predicting the occupant of an office or home 3) determine if the accuracy of random forest models varied based on sample type and participant 4) determine the accuracy of random forest models to predict an occupant across the office and home environments.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository><description_synonyms>Postmortem Microbiology, Microbiology, Forensics, Postmortem, Science, Forensic Sciences, Forensic, Forensic Science, Microbial Forensic Sciences, Post-Mortem Microbiology, Forensic Microbial Science, Forensic Microbial, Forensic Microbial Sciences, Sciences, Microbial Forensics, Microbial Science, Microbial Forensic, Post Mortem, Microbial, Microbial Forensic Science, Post Mortem Microbiology, Post-Mortem., Microbial Sciences</description_synonyms><name_synonyms>Microbiome., Microbial Community Composition, Community Composition, human being, Microbiomes, Man (Taxonomy), Random Forests, Microbial Community Compositions, Random Forest Classification, Microbial Community, Random Forest, Random Forest Algorithms, Modern, Microbial Community Structure, Community Structure, Classification, Microbial, human, Human, Composition, Homo sapiens, Random Forest Classifications, Algorithm, Modern Man, Microbial Community Structures, Microbiotas, Built Environments, Random Forest Algorithm, Man, Human Microbiomes, Microbial Communities, Community, Human Microbiome, Microbiome</name_synonyms></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>USAFA - Random forest modeling for microbial forensic applications utilizing longitudinal human and built environment microbiome inputs</name><description>USAFA Longitudinal Stability and Microbial Forensics</description><dates><last_updated>2022-10-17</last_updated><first_public>2022-10-17</first_public></dates><accession>PRJEB56766</accession><cross_references/></HashMap>
