Diabetes-associated activation of the TGF-b/Smad3 cascade may promote dysfunction not only by accentuating ECM deposition and crosslinking, but also by modulating cardiomyocyte phenotype and function. Thus, the TGF-b system may be a promising therapeutic target in patients with diabetes-associated heart failure. Overall design: Comparison of the transcriptomic profile of cardiac fibroblasts stimulated by TSP-4 (3 samples) vs. control (4 samples)."],"tag":["xref:PubMed:39373248"],"repository":["ENA"],"additional_accession":[]},"is_claimable":false,"name":"Fibroblast-specific TGF-b signaling mediates dysfunction, fibrosis and hypertrophy in a mouse model of obesity-associated type 2 diabetes [RNA-seq: TSP4 stimulation]","description":"Fibroblast-specific TGF-b signaling mediates dysfunction, fibrosis and hypertrophy in a mouse model of obesity-associated type 2 diabetes [RNA-seq: TSP4 stimulation]","dates":{"last_updated":"2025-09-24","first_public":"2024-08-26"},"accession":"PRJNA1006686","cross_references":{"GEO":["GSE241177"],"taxon":["10090"],"PubMed":["39373248"]}}
