Diabetes-associated activation of the TGF-b/Smad3 cascade may promote dysfunction not only by accentuating ECM deposition and crosslinking, but also by modulating cardiomyocyte phenotype and function. Thus, the TGF-b system may be a promising therapeutic target in patients with diabetes-associated heart failure. Overall design: Comparison of the transcriptomic profile of cardiac fibroblasts stimulated by TSP-4 (3 samples) vs. control (4 samples).</long_description><tag>xref:PubMed:39373248</tag><repository>ENA</repository></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Fibroblast-specific TGF-b signaling mediates dysfunction, fibrosis and hypertrophy in a mouse model of obesity-associated type 2 diabetes [RNA-seq: TSP4 stimulation]</name><description>Fibroblast-specific TGF-b signaling mediates dysfunction, fibrosis and hypertrophy in a mouse model of obesity-associated type 2 diabetes [RNA-seq: TSP4 stimulation]</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2024-08-26</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA1006686</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE241177</GEO><taxon>10090</taxon><PubMed>39373248</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
