Taking advantage of gnotobiotic experimentation and an endothelial-specific Tlr2-deficient mouse model, we dissect whether I/R-induced NETosis is also supported by endothelial TLR2 activation. To resolve the engagement of microbiota-induced TLR2 signaling on neutrophil function, based on agonist-treatment, we pinpoint the role of TLR2/1 vs TLR2/6 signaling in ex vivo NETosis induction.
