However, the small C2 domain protein subfamily has not been identified in chilling tolerance in rice. Here, we identified a small C2 domain protein OsERG1, which negatively regulated chilling tolerance in rice seedlings. Additionally, through the screening of yeast two-hybrid cDNA library, we obtained an ABA receptor, OsPYL10, interacted with OsERG1 in a Ca2+ and ABA-dependent manner in vitro and in vivo. Transgenics experiments identified the positive regulation of OsPYL10 to chilling tolerance in rice seedlings.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name></name><description>The C2 domain-containing and Ca2+-binding protein OsERG1 interferes with OsPYL10-OsPP2C09 module to negatively regulate the chilling tolerance in rice</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-08</last_updated><first_public>2025-09-08</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA1315184</accession><cross_references/></HashMap>
