Maintenance of CTD phosphoserine-7 mark in Arabidopsis requires the CDKF 1 kinase, which mediates in vivo activation of downstream-acting CDKD CTD kinase family. Knockout mutations of CDKF 1 lead to over 50% reduction of RNAPII CTD Ser-7 phosphorylation as early as 7 days after germination in seedlings. The transcript profiling experiment aimed at determining how early changes in CTD Ser-7 phosphorylation affect global regulation of transcription. We used Affymetrix ATH1-121501 Genome Array to compare global transcript levels in wild type and cdkf 1-2 mutant seedlings 7 days after germination. Overall design: Wild type and cdkf 1-2 mutant Arabidopsis (Col-0) seedlings were grown in solid MSAR medium (Koncz, C., Martini, N., Szabados, L., Hrouda, M., Bachmair, A., and Schell, J. (1994). Specialized vectors for gene tagging and expression studies. In: Plant Molecular Biology Manual, Gelvin,S., and Schilperoort, B. (eds.), Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht-Boston-London, B2, 1-22.) containing ½ concentration of macro elements and 0.5% sucrose in Petri-dishes at 22°C, 120 mol/m2s light intensity and 8h light/16h dark period. Seedling were collected at 4h after the start of the light period in liquid nitrogen for RNA preparation.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository><description_synonyms>Regulations, Plant Sprout, A., RNA pol II, 8WG16, Social Controls, CG11121, Cardaminopsis, II, 2-Amino-3-hydroxypropionic acid, Mutations, Pol II, old, Arabidopsis thalianas, RNA polII, l(1)L5, DmelCG11121, RNApol2, POL, RNA pol IIo, A. thalianas, Sprouted Seed, thalianas, DmF2, Pol IIo[Ser2], 5, Kinase, Malted, Fs(3)Hor, Phosphotransferase, Formal Social Controls, lod, DmelCG2684, Malted Grain, somda, Grain, RNApolII, Cresses, RNAP, Pol II CTD, Mouse-ear Cress, RPII215, RNAPII0, Transphosphorylase, NTef2, SO, Mouse-ear, Ubl, Social, CDKF, RNAP II, 2-amino-3-hydroxypropanoic acid, L5, Sprouted, l(1)DF912, RNA Pol II CTD, polII, CG1554, Cress, Pol IIo[ser5], Mouse ear, ATP Phosphotransferases, Pol II0[ser2], transcription from bacterial-type RNA polymerase promoter, Arabidopses, l(1)G0040, So, ATP, Drl, RNA PolII, Pol IIo, Malted Grains, Formal Social Control, Pol IIa, Arabidopsis thaliana, l(1)DC912, PolII, A. thaliana, Sprout, RNAPII, Phosphotransferases, Fs(3)Sz11, Mdu, Serin, Plant Sprouts, 3-Hydroxyalanine, Social Control, mda, Seed, Rpll215, ami, pol II, Pol-IIa, Transphosphorylases, Seeds, Sprouts, DmelCG1554, Rpb1, RNA Pol II, RPB1, Kinases, med, Pol IIo[ser2], PolIIo, RNAP II LS, Control, Plant, thaliana, RpII, Controls, Lds, Mouse-ear Cresses, early, Pol II0[ser5], l(1)10Ca, Plant., Pol II Ser5P, Pol II[ser2], Seedling, Grains, Arabidopsis, Horka, bacterial transcription, H5, Sprouted Seeds, CG2684, Fs(3)Horka, CTD, L Serine, regulation, dRPB1, RNA PolI 215, dRpb1, L-Serine, Regulation</description_synonyms><name_synonyms>thale cress, mouse-ear cress, thale-cress, Arabidopsis thalianas, Arbisopsis thaliana, Cresses, A., A. thalianas, thalianas, Arabidopsis thaliana, Mouse-ear Cress, Arabidopsis thaliana (thale cress), Arabidopsis., Cress, thaliana, Mouse ear, A. thaliana, Arabidopses, Mouse-ear Cresses, Mouse-ear, Arabis thaliana</name_synonyms></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Arabidopsis thaliana</name><description>Early effects of cdkf 1 RNAPII CTD Serine-7 kinase mutation on regulation of transcription in 7 days old Arabidopsis seedlings</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2014-02-11</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA138167</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE27687</GEO><taxon>3702</taxon><PubMed>22547781</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
