To address this issue, mammary epithelial cells and three malignant breast cancer lines were subjected to hyperthermic shock and microarray analysis of the global transcription changes was subsequently performed. Overall design: MCF10A (mammary epithelial cells) and MCF7, MDA231, and MDA468 breast cancer cells were grow at normal growth temperatures or subjected to 30 minutes of hyperthermic (45oC) shock followed by replacement with conditioned media at normal growth temperatures. RNA was collected 4 hours after shock and subjected to microarray analysis.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository><name_synonyms>Human, Modern., human being, Man (Taxonomy), Homo sapiens, man, Man, human, Modern Man</name_synonyms><description_synonyms>Pyrexias, Breast Carcinoma, Human Mammary Neoplasm, primary breast cancer, Carcinoma, malignant tumor of the breast, Breast Carcinomas, "breast neoplasm" EXACT [MTH:120], Neoplasms, Hyperthermias, mammary neoplasm, Gene, Mammary Cancers, Human Mammary Neoplasms, Pyrexia, Tumor, "breast tumor" EXACT [NCI2004_11_17:C2910], Cell, Human, Breast Malignant Neoplasm, Breast Malignant Tumor, epithelial, "neoplasm of breast (disorder)" EXACT [SNOMEDCT_2005_07_31:126926005], Mammary Carcinomas, Breast Tumor, Neoplasm, Human Mammary Carcinoma, "mammary tumor" EXACT [CSP2005:2016-0671], NOS, breast tumor, cancer of the breast, Fevers, Malignant Neoplasm of Breast, epitheliocyte, Hyperthermia, Carcinomas, BC, Mammary Neoplasms, malignant neoplasm of breast, Human Mammary, Breast Neoplasm, Gene Expressions, Mammary Neoplasm, Mammary Carcinoma, Human Mammary Carcinomas, Cancers, "mammary neoplasm" RELATED [], Expressions, Hyperpyrexias, Cancer of the Breast, Hyperpyrexia, breast cancer, cancer of breast, Malignant Tumor of Breast, Mammary, Mammary Cancer, Breast Tumors, Breast Cancer, Fever, Breast Malignant Tumors, Cancer of Breast, Fever., Expression, Breast, mammary cancer, cancer, mammary tumor, Breast Malignant Neoplasms, breast, Tumors, Cancer</description_synonyms></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Homo sapiens</name><description>Gene expression profiles of mammary epithelial and breast cancer cells following fever range hyperthermia</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2014-02-11</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA209945</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE48398</GEO><taxon>9606</taxon></cross_references></HashMap>
