We performed a microarray-based expression scanning to search for potential circulating miRNA biomarkers for postmenopausal osteoporosis as whole blood obtianed from patients was used. Overall design: MiRNA expression in the whole blood of 23 Chinese postmenopausal women with osteopenia and that of 25 Chinese postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. After total RNA was extracted, all of the RNA extraction samples were seperately pooled into six subgroups according to the T-score measurement.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository><description_synonyms>Postmenopausal, Post-Menopausal, RNA, Biological Markers, Viral Marker, Viral, Surrogate Endpoints, Surrogate Endpoint, Bone Loss, Clinical Markers, Laboratory, Clinical Marker, stRNA, Serum Markers, Osteoporosis, Small Temporal RNA, Biochemical, End Point, Endpoint, Perimenopausal Bone Loss, Biochemical Markers, Primary, Postmenopausal Osteoporosis, Serum, Biologic Marker, Postmenopausal Osteoporoses, Osteoporoses, Immune Marker, Surrogate End Points, Small, Surrogate Markers, Laboratory Markers, Micro RNA, Marker, Biological, Surrogate End Point, osteoporosis, Perimenopausal, pre-miRNA, Bone Losses, Biologic Markers, postmenopausal, pri miRNA, Postmenopausal Bone Loss, Biomarker, miRNAs, Serum Marker, Small Temporal, Clinical, End Points, Micro, Temporal RNA, Surrogate, Biological Marker, Endpoints, Perimenopausal Bone Losses, Primary MicroRNA, Post Menopausal, Immunologic, miRNA, Primary miRNA, Laboratory Marker, INSDC_feature:ncRNA, pri-miRNA, Surrogate Marker, Postmenopausal Bone Losses, Immunologic Markers, Immune, Markers, Biochemical Marker, Viral Markers, Post-Menopausal Osteoporosis., Post-Menopausal Osteoporoses, MicroRNA, biological marker, Immunologic Marker, pre miRNA, bone mineral density quantitative trait locus, Biologic, Immune Markers</description_synonyms><name_synonyms>Human, Modern., human being, Man (Taxonomy), Homo sapiens, man, Man, human, Modern Man</name_synonyms></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Homo sapiens</name><description>Detection of potential microRNA biomarker for postmenopausal osteoporosis</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2014-12-24</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA271009</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE64433</GEO><taxon>9606</taxon><PubMed>26038726</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
