To identify candidate genes involved in the genesis of hypertension in the SHR strains in comparison to renal hypertensive WKY, we compared the gene expression levels at 6 weeks of age, isolated genes showing a more than 4-fold increase or a less than 1/4-fold compared with WKY treated with 2K1C, 1K1C or none. Overall design: The rat mesenteric arteries derived from spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), stroke-prone SHR (SHRSP), normotensive WKYs treated with 2K1C or 1K1C, or without operation for 3 weeks at 6 weeks of age were examined. Each group of rats was run in N=4.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Rattus norvegicus</name><description>Gene expression in the mesenteric arteries of SHR and SHRSP compared with WKYs treated with 2K1C or 1K1C, or without operation for 3 weeks at 6 weeks of age</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2024-04-04</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA299673</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE74288</GEO><taxon>10116</taxon><PubMed>30882592</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
