Endometrial samples were collected by Pipelle biopsy on days 2 (n=9), 3 (n=9) or 4 (n=6) of menstruation and arrayed. We identified key gene pathways involved in menstruation and identified a number of genes not previously associated with the process (Paiva et al. 2016. Mol Hum Reprod. In press). Overall design: Total RNA obtained from endometrial biopsies collected from women on days 2 (n=9), 3 (n=9) or 4 (n=6) of menstruation.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository><description_synonyms>single-organism catabolic process, multicellular organismal catabolic process, cellular breakdown, Plays, Materials, breakdown, Genetic, Playthings, degradation, breakdown of molecule., breakdown of chemical, catabolism, Toys, Gene, Cistrons, cellular catabolism, Concept, breakdown of substance, Puppets, Role Concept, Material, Playthings and Play, Roles, Role Concepts, Role, Plaything, Play, Concepts, Genetic Materials, cellular degradation, Cistron, Genetic Material, Puppet, Toy</description_synonyms><name_synonyms>Human, Modern., human being, Man (Taxonomy), Homo sapiens, man, Man, human, Modern Man</name_synonyms></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Homo sapiens</name><description>Identification of genes that play a role in menstrual breakdown and repair</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2016-08-26</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA339980</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE86003</GEO><taxon>9606</taxon><PubMed>27609758</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
