Although actinorhodin has been used as a model compound for studying secondary metabolism, its mechanism is not well understood. In this work, we have conducted a comprehensive chemical genetic investigation of actinorhodin’s antibacterial effect on target organisms. Overall design: Transcriptome profiles of actinorhodin-, H2O2-, and dioxane-treated Staphylococcus aureus were generated in duplicate using Illumina MiSeq platform.</long_description><tag>pathogen:priority</tag><tag>pathogen:bacterium</tag><tag>xref:PubMed:28906045</tag><tag>pathogen</tag><classification>bacteria</classification><repository>ENA</repository></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Staphylococcus aureus</name><description>Investigation of the Molecular Action of Actinorhodin</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2017-09-23</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA380398</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE97007</GEO><taxon>1280</taxon><PubMed>28906045</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
