During the growth of corn, it is a hot summer. When there is a wide range of drought, it will lead to a reduction in corn production. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically study the growth of corn during the silking stage. Using the Illumina hiseq sequencing platform, we performed transcriptome sequencing and found that maize mesophyll cell genes showed significant differential expression in hot environments. Analysis shows that it is susceptible to CO2 content as well as water, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. This discovery provides a theoretical basis for scientific guidance in field management, including recommendations for the establishment of irrigation and drainage systems as soon as possible, and suggests that soil permeability should be improved in a timely manner, thus effectively alleviating the drought in maize.</long_description><repository>ENA</repository></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Zea mays subsp. mays</name><description>Zea mays subsp. mays Transcriptome or Gene expression</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2019-04-02</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA530033</accession><cross_references><taxon>381124</taxon></cross_references></HashMap>
