Then the macrophages were treated with a PXR ligand PCN or DMSO control for 12 hr. Total RNA was extracted for RNAseq Results: PCN-mediated PXR activation induced 439 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) with false discovery rate (FDR) 1.5 in control macrophages. By contrast, PCN only induced 38 DEFs in PXR-deficient macrophages. Conclusions: These results indicate that PXR signaling may affect many genes in macrophages related atherosclerosis development. Overall design: Macrophagic mRNA profiles of control and PXR-deficient macrophages after 12-hr treatment of PXR ligand PCN</long_description><tag>xref:PubMed:32170024</tag><repository>ENA</repository><description_synonyms>PAR, macrophagocyte, PXR1, Transcriptome, Monocyte Derived Macrophages, Transcriptome Profile, SXR, typical plasmatocyte, mPXR, Expression Profiles, PRR, Gene Expression Profile, Gene, Monocyte Derived, Profiles, monocyte-derived macrophage, ONR1, PXR.1, PXR.2, Gene Expression, Monocyte-Derived, macrophage, Transcriptome Profiles., Expression Signatures, Gene Expression Signatures, Monocyte-Derived Macrophage, PARq, Gene Expression Signature, agranular plasmatocyte, Expression Profile, activation, BXR, Monocyte-Derived Macrophages, Macrophage, SAR, PXR, Macrophages, Profile, Bone Marrow Derived Macrophages, Bone Marrow-Derived Macrophage, Signatures, Bone Marrow-Derived, lamellocyte, Expression Signature, Gene Expression Profiles, Bone Marrow-Derived Macrophages, granulocyte, Transcriptomes, PAR2, PAR1, histiocyte, Signature</description_synonyms><name_synonyms>PAR, macrophagocyte, PXR1, Transcriptome, Monocyte Derived Macrophages, Transcriptome Profile, SXR, typical plasmatocyte, mPXR, Expression Profiles, PRR, Gene Expression Profile, Gene, Monocyte Derived, Profiles, monocyte-derived macrophage, ONR1, PXR.1, PXR.2, Gene Expression, Monocyte-Derived, macrophage, Transcriptome Profiles., Expression Signatures, Gene Expression Signatures, Monocyte-Derived Macrophage, PARq, Gene Expression Signature, agranular plasmatocyte, Expression Profile, activation, BXR, Monocyte-Derived Macrophages, Macrophage, SAR, PXR, Macrophages, Profile, Bone Marrow Derived Macrophages, Bone Marrow-Derived Macrophage, Signatures, Bone Marrow-Derived, lamellocyte, Expression Signature, Gene Expression Profiles, Bone Marrow-Derived Macrophages, granulocyte, Transcriptomes, PAR2, PAR1, histiocyte, Signature</name_synonyms></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Effects of PXR activation on the macrophage transcriptome</name><description>Effects of PXR activation on the macrophage transcriptome</description><dates><last_updated>2025-09-24</last_updated><first_public>2020-02-23</first_public></dates><accession>PRJNA607989</accession><cross_references><GEO>GSE145719</GEO><taxon>10090</taxon><PubMed>32170024</PubMed></cross_references></HashMap>
