Our analysis revealed sex-specific differences between male and female cells. Female PGCs demonstrated a higher expression of SMAD7 and NCAM2 than male PGCs is the possible reason for their slower proliferation and increased cell-cell adhesion properties in vitro. A comparison with both pluripotent and somatic cell types identifies a set of germ cells hallmark genes which will help to understand the key regulatory genes for gamete production in birds."],"repository":["ENA"],"description_synonyms":["Gametes, chicken, Germ-Line Cells, Germ Lines., Transcriptome, Transcriptome Profile, Gallus gallus domesticus, Profile, Expression Profiles, Gene Expression Profile, Gene, Germ-Line Cell, Profiles, Germ, Signatures, Phasianus gallus, Cell, Germ-Line, Gallus gallus, whole transcriptome, Gene Expression, Germ Line, Gallus domesticus, Expression Signature, Gene Expression Profiles, Expression Signatures, Gene Expression Signatures, Cells, Transcriptomes, chickens, Gamete, Germ Line Cells, Germ Cell, bantam, Gene Expression Signature, Signature, Expression Profile, Chicken, Transcriptome Profiles"],"additional_accession":[]},"is_claimable":false,"name":"","description":"The transcriptome of chicken circulatory primordial germ cells","dates":{"last_updated":"2023-07-30","first_public":"2023-07-30"},"accession":"PRJNA856993","cross_references":{}}
