Necroptosis represents a caspase-independent mode of programmed cell death, and its deregulation associates with lung diseases, but the mechanisms of necroptosis during BPD are indistinct. This work was conducted for unveiling the post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of necroptosis in BPD. Overall design: We sequenced messenger RNA (mRNA) (BPD, n=4 controls, n=4) and microRNA (miRNA) (BPD, n=5 controls, n=5) profiles in peripheral blood specimens. The GSE125873 dataset composed of mRNA profiling from 11 BPD individuals and 21 controls was gathered. Based upon the circBank and starBase databases, circRNA-miRNA-mRNA networks and a necroptosis-based subnetwork were built. The diagnostic efficacy of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 alpha kinase 2 (EIF2AK2) was assessed via receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC). EIF2AK2-relevant molecules were analyzed with weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA), and then molecular classification was conducted through consensus clustering method."],"repository":["ENA"],"description_synonyms":["Materials, Genetic, Peripheral Blood, whole blood, PRKR, pkr1, Blood, Bronchopulmonary, Gene, INSDC_feature:gene, pkr, Cistrons, prkr, AI747578, eif2ak1, Reticuloendothelial System, Dysplasia, EIF2AK1, 2310047A08Rik, BPD., Material, AI467567, PBMC, PBMCs, Prkr, Genetic Materials, Cistron, Pkr, PKR, Tik, regulation of necroptosis, 4732414G15Rik, PPP1R83, Genetic Material"],"name_synonyms":["Materials, Genetic, Peripheral Blood, whole blood, PRKR, pkr1, Blood, Bronchopulmonary, Gene, INSDC_feature:gene, pkr, Cistrons, prkr, AI747578, eif2ak1, Reticuloendothelial System, Dysplasia, EIF2AK1, 2310047A08Rik, BPD., Material, AI467567, PBMC, PBMCs, Prkr, Genetic Materials, Cistron, Pkr, PKR, Tik, regulation of necroptosis, 4732414G15Rik, PPP1R83, Genetic Material"],"additional_accession":[]},"is_claimable":false,"name":"Post-transcriptional regulation of necroptosis gene EIF2AK2 in peripheral blood of bronchopulmonary dysplasia","description":"Post-transcriptional regulation of necroptosis gene EIF2AK2 in peripheral blood of bronchopulmonary dysplasia","dates":{"last_updated":"2025-09-24","first_public":"2024-03-30"},"accession":"PRJNA907266","cross_references":{"GEO":["GSE219156"],"taxon":["9606"]}}
