ABSTRACT: Transcription profiling by array of human peripheral blood samples from Kawasaki disease patients after treatment with intravenous immunoglobulin and methylprednisolone
Project description:Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of peripheral blood cells from WHS and several disease patients. The Illumina Infinium EPIC Human DNA methylation Beadchip was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across approximately 850,000 CpGs in peripheral blood samples. Samples included, 20 WHS, 1 patient with heterozygous deletion in 4p16.2p15.31, 2 Sotos syndrome patients, 2 Kabuki syndrome patients, 1 CHARGE syndrome patient, and 3 patients who harbor NSD2 de novo variants.
Project description:Genome-wide profiling of DNA methylation in blood leukocytes from Chinese patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The Illumina Infinium MethylationEPIC BeadChip array (850K chip) was used to detect DNA methylation profiles throughout approximately 850,000 CpG sites in peripheral blood white cells of MCI- and AD-affected Chinese patients, as well as cognitively healthy controls. All samples included 20 Chinese patients with MCI, 20 Chinese patients with AD, and 20 cognitively healthy controls.
Project description:In this study, we compared global gene expressions between pre- and post- intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) administration in nineteen Kawasaki disease (KD) patients. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) obtained from nineteen patients before and after IVIG treatment was extracted using a PAXgene blood RNA isolation kit. Amplified cRNAs of each patient were analyzed using with Agilent Whole Human Genome Microarray 4x44K G4112F array.
Project description:Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of female Crohn's disease patients versus healthy female controls. The Illumina Infinium 450k Human DNA methylation Beadchip was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across approximately 485,000 CpGs in peripheral blood samples. Samples included 25 healthy controls and 18 female patients with histologically confirmed CD.
Project description:We identified the differentially expressed circular RNAs in vitiligo patients before and after treatment of methylprednisolone. We have completed the Arraystar Human circRNA Array V2 analysis of the 8 peripheral blood specimens. Whole blood samples (3 mL each) were collected by venipuncture into heparinized vacutainers from a total of four patients diagnosed with nonsegmental vitiligo before and after systemic glucocorticoid therapy (oral methylprednisolone tablets, 12mg daily for eight weeks).
Project description:Antiplatelet therapy is the most important treatment to reduce the risk of developing recurrent thrombosis, and to prevent progression to a complete occlusion of coronary arterial disease (CAD) patients after percutaneous coronary intervention Aim of study was to investigate the relationship between response to antiplatelet drugs and global mRNA gene expression in peripheral blood cells (PBC) in patients with coronary arterial disease (CAD) All patients were treated crhonically with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) (100 mg/day) and clopidogrel (75 mg/day). Blood samples were drown before PCI to evaluate platelet reactivity by VerifyNow® ASA and P2Y12 assays and mRNA expression was measured by Affymetrix GeneChip Human Exon 1.0 ST array.
Project description:Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of peripheral blood samples of moderate-to-severe psoriasis patients treated with anti-TNF drugs. Patients were distributed on Excellent Responders (ER) if they achieved PASI90 (a 90% reduction with respect to baseline PASI) at 3 and 6 months of treatment with anti-TNF drugs and Partial responders if they did not achieve a PASI75 (a 75% reduction with respect to baseline PASI) at 3 and 6 months of treatment. The Illumina Infinium 450k Human DNA methylation Beadchip v1.2 was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across approximately 485,000 CpGs in 49 ER and 21 PR which were obtained from peripheral blood samples of anti-TNF drug treated patients. We have searched for pharmaoepigenetic biomarkers of anti-TNF response in moderate-to-severe psoriasis patients.
Project description:We used microarrays to identify markers predicting responder status in infliximab treatment in 19 rheumatoid arthritis and 20 Crohn's disease patients at week 0 and week 2 of treatment. Peripheral blood samples were obtained at week 0 and week 2 of inxliximab treatment and global gene expression profiling identified markers of responder status.
Project description:Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients and healthy subjects. The Illumina Infinium HumanMethylation450 BeadChip was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across in peripheral blood mononuclear cell samples. Samples included 6 normal subjects and 12 COPD patients among which 3 of them have 2nd samples from follow-up examination.
