Project description:Whole blood and spleen tissue was collected from naïve untreated mice. We compared the gene expression profiles of naïve autoimmunity prone BQ.Ncf1.m1J mutated mice and wild type BQ mice. The samples from specific pathogen-free animal facility were collected in two sample sets (marked I and II respectively) and the germ-free facility samples (marked GF / germ free) formed the third analyzed batch. The data revealed a pronounced type I interferon signature in the Ncf1.m1J mutated mice housed in both conditions.
Project description:At the epigenetic level, lncRNAs play important roles in cell differentiation and function. We identified novel long-stranded non-coding RNA (GM1082) in intestinal epithelial cells. We used high-throughput sequencing to detail the global programme of gene expression and identified distinct classes of up or down regulated genes in intestinal epithelial cells of wild-type mice, germ-free mice and wild-type mice infected with S. Typhimurium.
Project description:Mice lacking 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase (Hmgcr) in intestinal villus and crypt epithelial cells were generated using a Villin-Cre transgene. Label free proteome profiling was measure for Wild type and KO mouse.
Project description:To investigate the potential role of Dectin-1 in the development of intestinal tumorigenesis, we used Dectin-1 deficient (Clec7a–/–, KO) mice under germ-free (GF) condition and azoxymethane (AOM) and 3 cycles of dextran-sodium-sulfate (DSS)-induced mouse colorectal tumor model to compare with wild-type (WT) mice.
Project description:Transcription profiling of intestinal tissue from germ free rats mono-colonised with one of two strains of Lactobacillus fermentum; AGR1485 or AGR 1487

The cells were not stimulated or selected ex vivo.
Project description:To study Bacteroidetes sphingolipids in intestinal health, we colonized germ-free mice with wild type or a sphingolipid-deficient Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron strain. A lack of Bacteroides derived sphingolipids increased intestinal inflammation, dysregulated innate immunity and altered the host ceramide pool.
