Project description:To reveal the underlying molecular mechanism of jasmonate inhibits gibberellins signaling in rice, we performed transcriptional profiling of wild type nipponbare and mutant coi1-13 plants on a global scale using the Affymetrix GeneChip Rice Genome Array
Project description:Goal of the study is to characterize specific function(s) of the cytosolic glutamine synthetase (GS) 1;2 for apical meristem induction in rice plants. To address the issue, we conducted transcript profiling toward basal parts of the knockout mutant lacking GS1;2. We used microarrays conduct transcript profiling of gs1;2 plants. Wild-type samples were used as control.
Project description:To reveal the underlying molecular mechanism of Gif1 action in the control of grain filling and yield improvement, we performed transcriptional profiling of wild type Zhonghua11 and mutant gif1 plants in early filling stage on a global scale using the Affymetrix GeneChip Rice Genome Array Keywords: Filling stage
Project description:Os02g31890 encodes a dehydration-responsive transcription factor (named ´ARID´) from rice (Oryza sativa, cv. Dongjin). Expression profiling was performed 90 min after the start of dehydration stress in roots of Oryza sativa wild-type plants (cv. Dongjin) and a knock-out (i.e. arid) mutant. Wild-type rice plants and a line carrying a T-DNA insertion in the third exon of the transcription factor gene (arid mutant) were subjected to dehydration stress for 90 min. Well-watered wild-type and T-DNA insertion plants were used as controls. Total RNA was extracted from roots and subjected to expression profiling using rice Affymetrix microarrays.
Project description:Powdery mildew is a very common plant disease and only few plants are immune. Host interactions have been identified and characterized for the pathosystems barley-B. graminis f. sp. tritici (Bgt) and wheat-B. graminis f. sp. hordei (Bgh), whereas no data are reported about powdery mildew and nonhost plants, such as rice. On the other hand rice nonhost resistance is widely unexploited and only few expression data are available. To characterize rice response during nonhost interaction with Bgh, a global expression analysis was performed by using the GeneChip® Rice Genome Array. To describe rice gene expression profiles during nonhost interaction, 2 week-old rice plantlets were inoculated with Bgh. Treated (inoculated) and control (mock) samples were collected 24 hours post-inoculation for GeneChip® Rice Genome Array hybridization.
Project description:A transcription factor CYTOKININ-RESPONSIVE GATA FACTOR 1 (CGA1) regulates chloroplast development in rice (Oryza sativa) through modifying the expression of important nuclear expressed, chloroplast localized genes. A transcriptome analysis was done in wild type plants and transgenic rice over-expressing this OsCGA1 to identify the set of genes with altered expression. RNA was extracted from leaves of 4-wk old wild type and OsCGA1 overexpressing rice plants and hybridized to Affymetrix Rice Genome Array. Three biological replicates were sampled for wild type and OX plants.
Project description:Overexpression of OsMYB103L leads to leaf rolling in transgenic rice plants. To explore the possible molecular mechanism of OsMYB103L’s effects on rice leaf development, we examined the expression profiles of OsMYB103L overexpression transgenic rice plants and wild type leaf blades using Digital Gene Expression (DGE) profiling analysis.
