RNA-sequencing of 465 lymphoblastoid cell lines from the 1000 Genomes


ABSTRACT: Geuvadis RNA sequencing data set of 462 unrelated human lymphoblastoid cell line samples from the CEU, FIN, GBR, TSI and YRI populations from the 1000 Genomes sample collection was created by the http://www.geuvadis.org - Geuvadis consortium. More details about RNA-seq Geuvadis project can be found here http://www.geuvadis.org/web/geuvadis/rnaseq-project and from Lappalainen et al. Nature 2013 (http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/nature12531). This accession contains mRNA sequencing data passed quality control, small RNA data from the same samples are available under accession E-GEUV-2, full Geuvadis RNA-seq dataset including all mRNA and small RNA data regardless quality control status is available under accession E-GEUV-3. The gene(s) whose expression is regulated by allergy risk variants is unknown for many loci identified through genome-wide association studies. Addressing this knowledge gap might point to new therapeutic targets for allergic disease. The aim of this study was to identify the target gene(s) and the functional variant(s) underlying the association between rs7009110 on chromosome 8q21 and allergies.
