Project description:Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common childhood cancer, and it has a 5-year survival rate of 85% for European children. But for subsets of patients who fail to respond to standard of care chemotherapeutics, treatment options are limited, and clinical prognosis is poor. To establish a novel platform and methodology to better characterize ALL subtypes and identify their pharmacologic vulnerabilities, we performed thermal proteome profiling of 20 childhood ALL cell lines.
Project description:Transcription profiling of chicken development The experiment were perfomed as a part of our Vertebrate Evo-Devo project. The aim of the project is to compare transcription profiles of normal (unmanipulated, wild-type, whole embryo) vertebrate embryos. Total RNA was collected from wild type G.gallus whole embryos at 15 different stages (Stages:HH1,2,4,6,8,9,11,14,16,19,24,27,32,34,38), and hybridized to the Affymetrix Chicken Genome Array. All the stages contains data from two biological replications. Each staged-samples consists of pooled total RNA from several whole embryos.
Project description:Human and mouse blood each contain two monocyte subsets. Here, we investigated the extent of their similarity using a microarray approach. Approximately 300 genes in human and 550 genes in mouse were differentially expressed between subsets. More than 130 of these gene expression differences were conserved between mouse and human monocyte subsets. We confirmed numerous differences at the cell surface protein level. Despite overall conservation, some molecules were conversely expressed between the two species’ subsets, including CD36, CD9, and TREM-1. Furthermore, other differences existed, including a prominent PPARγ signature in mouse monocytes absent in human. Overall, human and mouse monocyte subsets are far more broadly conserved than currently recognized. Thus, studies in mice may indeed yield relevant information regarding the biology of human monocyte subsets. However, differences between the species deserve consideration in models of human disease studied in the mouse. Keywords: Expression profiling by array
Project description:Follow-up study of 9 year old IVF children who underwent embryo culture in G3 (Vitrolife) or K-SICM (Cook) medium. Genome-wide DNA methylation profiling of 9 year old IVF children (saliva samples) who had undergone embryo culture in G3 medium (Vitrolife) or K-SICM medium (Lonza). The EPIC array was used to profile the methylome at approximately 850,000 CpG sites across the human genome.
