ABSTRACT: Movies of Drosophila embryos during germband extension (GBE) were captured with a spinning disc confocal microscope controlled by Volocity software, using two fluorescence channels: channel 1 is Myosin II (sqh-GFP[KI]) and channel 2 is cell membranes (Gap43m-Cherry). For further details, please see (Lye et al., 2024, PMID: 38683880). Here we are providing the raw data and relevant annotations for the movies analysed in our publication: 1. Raw movies. We are providing 10 zip files containing the Volocity files (.mvd2 movie files plus associated metadata) for the 4 WT and 6 twist movies analysed in our study. Please note that the movies are not all oriented with the ‘anterior to the left’ convention, but it is possible to tell anterior from posterior using the direction of tissue extensi
