Remoscope label-free images of live P. Falciparum in whole human blood, cultured and clinical samples

ABSTRACT: Remoscope is a label-free imaging cytometer which was developed at the CZ Biohub SF and has been field-deployed in Tororo, Uganda to assess its efficacy at detecting Plasmodium falciparum parasites in whole human blood. Remoscope images blood without fixation or staining, i.e using a label-free imaging modality. This dataset comprises ~14TB of image data collected on Remoscope. The image data consists of: 1. Clinical data from Tororo, Uganda. This includes data from healthy participants and participants with parasite loads varying from below 1 parasite/uL up to ~600,000 parasites/uL. 2. Cultured Plasmodium falciparum data (including a titration series, images of CQ treated parasites, and a life stage time course) 3. Known healthy donor samples from a non-endemic region 4. Synthetic images
