Spatiotemporal dynamics of translation in Bacillus subtilis sporulation: a confocal microscopy dataset
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This dataset contains confocal fluorescence microscopy images examining the translational dynamics of Bacillus subtilis strain 168 (wild-type) and a triple knockout mutant (3KO, lacking ribosomal protein paralogs RpmEB, RpmGC, and RpsNB) during sporulation. The dataset covers the process from induction (T0) up to 7 hours post-induction (T7), organized into distinct assays: AHA (Nascent Proteome) visualization covers T0–T6; Alexa488 (Fluorescence staining control) assay cover T0–T6; OPP (Active Translation) visualization covers T0–T6; RpsB-GFP (Subcellular ribosome localization) covers T0–T7; and RpmEB-mCherry (Localization of the ribosomal protein paralog L31) covers T1–T5. Images capture temporal changes and spatial organization of protein synthesis during bacterial differentiation. The
