CelFDrive: Multimodal fluorescence microscopy dataset of mitotic stages in human RPE-1 cells (SiR-DNA) with expert bounding-box annotations for deep-learning object detection

ABSTRACT: Time-lapse and montage fluorescence microscopy of unsynchronised human hTERT-RPE1 cells with DNA labelled by the live-cell far-red probe SiR-DNA, acquired across four imaging configurations: a 10x 0.3 NA water-dipping "Finder" objective and a 20x 0.45 NA air "Finder" objective, both on the auxiliary widefield arm of a 3i lattice light-sheet microscope; a 40x spinning disk confocal; and a 40x widefield system. All images in this dataset are widefield epifluorescence or spinning disk confocal images; no lattice light-sheet images are included. All acquisitions are live-cell. Individual mitotic cells were tracked through time and annotated by three expert annotators into six mitotic stages (prophase, early prometaphase, prometaphase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase) as bounding boxes in YOL
