Evidence for the dysregulation of aldosterone synthesis in cardiovascular pathophysiology has renewed interest in the control of its production. Cellular mechanisms by which angiotensin II (ANG II) stimulates aldosterone synthesis in the adrenal zona glomerulosa are incompletely understood.
