Transcription profiling of human squamous lung cancer cells vs normal cells to identify genes that are differentially regulated

ABSTRACT: Gene expression profile of squamous lung cancer cells are used to identify genes that are differentially regulated. Experiment Overall Design: Each pair of samples represent a single patient with squamous lung cancer. One is derived from the cancer cells, and the other is from the normal cells. Five patients, with two arrays for each patients.

ORGANISM(S): Homo sapiens

Motivation
Global protein interaction network (interactome) analysis provides an effective way to understand the relationships between genes. Through this approach, it was demonstrated that the essential genes in yeast tend to be highly connected as well as connected to other highly connected genes. This is in contrast to the genes that are not essential, which share neither of these properties. Using a similar interactome-transcriptome approach, the topological features in the interacto ...[more]
