ABSTRACT: FoxE1 transcriptional profiling of rat PCCL3 cells comparing wild type cells with FoxE1 silenced cells and scramble treated with FoxE1 silenced cells. Three-condition experiment, FoxE1 silenced vs. Wild type cells. Biological replicates: 4 replicates, 1pooled sample dye-swap. and FoxE1 silenced vs scramble treated cells. Biological replicates: 4 replicates, 1 pooled sample dye-swap.

<h4>Background</h4>FoxE1 is a thyroid-specific forkhead transcription factor essential for thyroid gland development, as well as for the maintenance of the thyroid differentiated state in adults. FoxE1 recognizes and binds to a short DNA sequence present in thyroglobulin (Tg) and thyroperoxidase (Tpo) promoters, but FoxE1 binding to regulatory regions other than Tg and Tpo promoters remains almost unexplored.
