The normal duct-lobular system of the breast is lined by two epithelial cell types, inner luminal secretory cells and outer contractile myoepithelial cells. We have generated comprehensive expression profiles of the two normal cell types, using immunomagnetic cell separation and gene expression microarray analysis. A positive apoptosis inducer staurosporine and a negative control transfection reagent only were also included at each time point. Each sample had an experimental replicate.

CD8 T cells were chosen as the conventional counterpart of human Vg9Vd2+ cells because the biology and clinical application of Vg9Vd2 T cells is most often rationalized in the context of the cells proven cytolytic potential.
