Project description:Approximately 1 million cells of Candida glabrata lab strian BG2 were spread on YPD plate supplemented with 8 ug/ml tunicamycin. Randomly 30 adaptors were chosen. 28 adpators were more tolerant than parent to tunicamycin. These 28 tolerant adaptors, as well as the parent BG2 were sequenced.

Project description:Candida albicans lab strain BG2 was grown in YPD broth supplemented with 0.5ug/ml tunicamycin at 37C for 24h. We used three techinical repeats. The culture was washed, and diluted with distilled water. Then approximately 200 cells from each of the three cultures were spread on YPD plates. Randomly 99 colonies from each culture were tetsted for tolerance to tunicamycin, as compared to the parent BG2. In total we got 6 tolerant adaptors. These 6 adaptors as well as the parent were sequenced.
