ABSTRACT: The experiment was designed to study the effects of blood pressure on gene expressions in the kidney cortex. Kidney cortex was harvested from seven SHR rats and eight WKY rats at 60 weeks of age. Both right and left kidney were taken out and pooled during RNA extraction
