ChIP on chip data for AbrC3 binding sites in S. coelicolor M145


ABSTRACT: ChIP on chip assay of AbrC3 to determine its binding sites in S. coelicolor M145 genome using purified anti-AbrC3 polyclonal antibodies. Samples from nutrient broth (NB) cultures were collected at 36, 48 and 60 hours, cross-linked, and finally hybridized to DNA 104K microarrays designed by University of Surrey.

The atypical two-component system (TCS) AbrC1/C2/C3 (encoded by SCO4598, SCO4597, and SCO4596), comprising two histidine kinases (HKs) and a response regulator (RR), is crucial for antibiotic production in Streptomyces coelicolor and for morphological differentiation under certain nutritional conditions.
