ABSTRACT: Root-type ferredoxin:NADP(H) oxidoreductase (RFNR) is thought to reduce ferredoxin using NADPH in non-photosynthetic tissues, thereby facilitating ferredoxin-dependent biological processes. However, the physiological function of RFNR remains unclear. To address this issue, we performed RNA sequencing using the roots of Arabidopsis Col-0 and mutants deficient in both RFNR1 and RFNR2.
