Transcriptional profile of knockdown of HMOX1 or/and pimozide-treated cancer cell lines

ABSTRACT: DRD2 antagonists are commonly used clinically for the treatment of psychiatric disorders. This study aimed to explore the antitumor effects of DRD2 antagonists on a variety of tumor entities. A DRD2 antagonist, pimozide, exhibited antitumor effects in pancreatic, colorectal, ovarian, and gastric cancers. HMOX1 was found to be highly expressed at both mRNA and protein levels, corroborating the results of profiling. Transcriptional profile of knockdown of HMOX1 or/and pimozide-treated cancer cell lines was showed then.
