Effect of hepatocyte-restricted deletion of fgf21 deletion on perigonadic white adipose tissue gene expression in response to fasting in mice
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: FGF21 is a liver-derived hormone. It is potently induced and secreted in response to fasting. However, the biological significance of this endocrine response remains poorly understood. Here, we investigated the effect of hepatocyte FGF21 on perigonadic white adipose tissue biology through the analysis of gene expression in wild-type mice and in mice with hepatocyte-restricted deletion of FGF21 in vivo in mice which are either fed of fasted.
