RNA-seq of human trauma patients with and without haemorrhagic shock

ABSTRACT: Patients were recruited between February 2008 and March 2019 through the Activation of Coagulation and Inflammation in Trauma (ACIT-II) study, a prospective platform cohort study evaluating aspects of coagulation and inflammation in trauma patients (NHS REC: 07/Q0603/20). Patients at the Royal London Hospital were enrolled into ACIT-II in the emergency department. Patients were eligible for enrolment given that they were admitted within two hours from injury. Admission blood samples and physiology data were obtained on arrival, and further clinical data were collected daily over the following 28-days or until discharge from hospital or death.
