Dataset Information

Mitoribosome profiling (MitoRiboSeq) data from HEK293T wild-type, MTRF1 KO, MTRF1A KO, MTRF1/MTRF1A dKO; and N2a wild-type, MTRF1 KO, MTRF1A KO, MTRF1/MTRF1A dKO cells

ABSTRACT: Mitoribosome profiling data to investigate mitochondrial translation termination and stop codon readthrough following loss of the mitochondrial release factors mtRF1 and mtRF1a. Mouse N2a (Mus musculus) and human HEK293T (Homo sapiens) cells were analysed across four genotypes: wild-type (WT), MTRF1 knockout (KO), MTRF1A KO, and MTRF1/MTRF1A double knockout (dKO). Three replicates were included for each genotype in each cell line (labelled as 1, 2 and 3). Mitoribosome occupancy across mt-ORFs and beyond annotated stop codons was examined to determine how release factor loss affects translation termination.
