Different ecophysiological factors leading to the biosynthesis of structurally different flavonol glycosides and hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives in kale (Brassica oleracea var. sabellica cv. Winterbor)


ABSTRACT: 12 week old kale (Brassica oleracea var. sabellica cv. Winterbor) plants in climate chambers were treated with either different PAR, 100 and 400 µmol m-2 s-1 at 10°C or different temperatures, 5 and 15°C at 400 µmol m-2 s-1. Radiation was applied for 10h each day at relative humidity of 70%, leaf material was harvested 4 weeks after the respective treatment.
