RNA-seq of muscle in mice with Lewis lung carcinoma with or without access to physical activity


ABSTRACT: Exercise has been correlated with prevention of weight loss (cachexia) attributed to tumor initiation and progression. However, it is unclear what are the molecular mechanisms behind this beneficial effect of exercise to prevent cachexia. In this study, we obtained RNA-seq data from biopsies of muscle in 24 mice with Lewis lung carcinoma that reached 1 cm3 volume, 14 with access to running wheel and 10 without (controls).
