Izumo1R is a pseudo-folate receptor with an essential role in mediating tight oocyte/spermatozoa contacts during fertilization. Intriguingly, it is also expressed in CD4<sup>+</sup> T lymphocytes, in particular Treg cells under the control of Foxp3.
