<i>Clostridioides difficile</i> infection (CDI) appears to be associated with different liver diseases. <i>C. difficile</i> secretes membrane vesicles (MVs), which may be involved in the development of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NALFD) and drug-induced liver injury (DILI).
