Agricultural drainage ditches are subjected to high anthropogenic nitrogen input, leading to eutrophication and greenhouse gas emissions. Nitrate-dependent anaerobic methane oxidation (N-DAMO) could be a promising remediation strategy to remove methane (CH4) and nitrate (NO3-) simultaneously.
