5,6,7,8-Tetra-hydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[5,1-b]quinazolin-9(4H)-one.

ABSTRACT: The triazole ring in the title mol-ecule, C₉H₁₀N₄O, is not quite coplanar with the six-membered ring to which it is fused, the dihedral angle between the two least-squares planes being 2.52 (6)°. In the crystal, a layered structure is formed by N-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds plus slipped π-stacking inter-actions, with the fused cyclo-hexene rings projecting to either side.

There are no classical hydrogen bonds in the crystal structure. Mol-ecules form mol-ecular layers parallel to (100) with a distance between the layers of a/2 = 3.468 Å.

Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(12)N(4)O(2), is a functionalized triazoloquinazoline with a substituted benz-yloxy group attached at the 2-position of a triazole spacer. The triazoloquinazoline fused-ring system is approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.016 Å) while the benzyl substituent is perpendicular to the ring system, making a dihedral angle of 65.29 (6)°. The phenyl ring of the benz-yloxy moiety is equally disordered over two sets of sites. A centrosymmetric N-H⋯N hydrogen bond connects mol-ecules into dimers.

Project description:The title compound, C(18)H(16)O(2), was prepared by reduction of 2-(5,6,7,8-tetra-hydro-2-naphtho-yl)benzoic acid with zinc dust. The benzene ring in the tetra-hydro-naphthyl substituent is nearly perpendicular to the plane of the isobenzofuran-1(3H)-one ring [87.15?(4)°].
