While exploring the process of CO/CO<sub>2</sub> electroreduction (CO<sub>x</sub>RR) is of great significance to achieve carbon recycling, deciphering reaction mechanisms so as to further design catalytic systems able to overcome sluggish kinetics remains challenging.
