Current treatments for endometriosis in South Korea: an analysis of nationwide data from 2010 to 2019.

ABSTRACT: While a wide range of treatments, including medical therapies and surgery, are used to manage endometriosis, the characteristics and treatment status of patients who received these treatments have not been investigated in Korea. This study analyzed the Korean Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service-National Patient Sample (HIRA-NPS) data from 2010 to 2019 with 7530 patients diagnosed with endometriosis. Annual trends in the types of visit and surgery, medication prescriptions and associated costs were investigated.
