Transcriptional enhanced associate domain (TEAD) proteins together with their transcriptional coactivator yes-associated protein (YAP) and transcriptional coactivator with the PDZ-binding motif (TAZ) are important transcription factors and cofactors that regulate gene expression in the Hippo pathway.
