Complete Genome Sequence of Bacteriophage EO1, Which Infects Both Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Shigella.


ABSTRACT: The lytic bacteriophage EO1 has been newly isolated. This phage infects Escherichia coli O157:H7 and has a broad antibacterial spectrum, including against Shigella. The complete genome sequence of phage EO1 was determined; its full length is 166,941 bp, and it has a G+C content of 35.46%.
