High crosslinking and low shrinkage stress are difficult to reconcile in the preparation of performance-enhancing photopolymer materials. Here we report the unique mechanism of upconversion particles-assisted NIR polymerization (UCAP) in reducing shrinkage stress and enhancing mechanical properties of cured materials.
