ABSTRACT: Purpose
To determine the refractive stability of a new hydrophobic acrylic intraocular lens (IOL) when implanted bilaterally. Methods
This was a prospective, evaluator masked, single surgeon study of 58 eyes of 29 patients. Patients were bilaterally implanted with the Clareon monofocal IOL (CNA0T0, Alcon Vision LLC). Refractive stability was evaluated between 1 and 3 months postoperatively. At 3 months postoperatively, data were also collected for binocular uncorrected and distance corrected visual acuities at distance (4 m) and intermediate (80 cm and 66 cm) and binocular defocus curve. Results
Postoperative refraction was statistically equivalent between 1 and 3 months postoperatively (p < 0.001). Mean postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity was -0.01 ± 0.1
